Caramaschi Matteo
He graduated in Trombone in 1991 at the “L.Campiani” Conservatory of Mantova (Italy) specializing later in Euphonium with Steven Mead at the I.S.E.B (Superior European Bandistic Istitute) of Trento (Italy) in 2004/06.
He earned the Diploma of Tuba and the II Level Diploma (Master’s Degree) in Music for Wind Instruments at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Roma in the years 2000/06.
In 1995 he won the national competition for First Euphonium (Soloist) at the Italian State Police Musical Band, who plays the role permanently.
In 2005 he won the national competition for First Euphonium (Soloist) at the Italian Navy Central Musical Band.
From the same year he is Euphonium’s teacher of Postgraduate Courses at the “Accademia Italiana del Flauto” in Roma and held seminars and Masterclasses at prestigious musical institutions.
From The Academic Year 2014/15 he is Professor of Euphonium at the “Alfredo Casella” Conservatory of L’Aquila and often participates as a Commission Member at Euphonium’s prestigious national and international competitions.
From 2010 he plays during the Solemn Liturgies in the “Basilica di San Pietro” in Roma at the Presence of the Holy Father with the “Ottoni della Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina”
He plays Euphonium Besson “Prestige” 2052.
Since the academic year 2014/15 he is a professor of the Euphonium class to the music conservatory “A. Casella”.
